Questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. Sorted lives in WhatsApp. Put in your number, we send a code, and you say hello. Setup takes about two minutes in the chat, and you can talk instead of type.
Can the rest of the family use it?
Yes. Ask for a join code and each person gets their own chat with Sorted. Everyone shares the same calendar, lists and reminders, and the household pays one price.
What does it do without asking me?
Reminders, lists and calendar edits. Anything that books something, spends money or emails another person waits for your yes, and it names anything private in a draft before you approve it.
Do you need my Waitrose password?
Only if you want it to do the shop, and it never goes through the chat. Sorted sends a private one-time link, you type the login on a page of your own, and it is encrypted with a key kept apart from your family's data. It fills the trolley and books the slot; you check out on Waitrose with your own card. Say "disconnect Waitrose" and the login, and everything it learned about what you buy, are deleted.
Where does my data live?
In a database that belongs to your family alone, in the EU. The AI provider keeps nothing. Voice notes are transcribed in-house and never stored. Photos are read once and never kept. The privacy policy is short and says exactly that.
What if I want it to stop messaging me?
Say "stop". The morning brief and the nudges stop that moment. Questions you ask are still answered. Say "resume" to turn them back on.
Does it need a Google Calendar?
It works best with one. During setup it sends a button to connect yours, and if the family has no shared calendar yet it makes one for you. It only reads the calendars you choose and adds events to the one you pick.
